“culture is important to me because it sets the tone, foundation, and influence in our family. since my kids biologically carry genes from me and my immigrant parents, it’s important for me to teach them about their culture so they can better understand themselves as they grow up. since we are a mixed family, one of our priorities is that they are exposed to my family’s native languages and can be involved in each others lives personally. I hope that our kids can feel grounded and confident the older they get and I believe introducing our culture and passing down family legacies will help them achieve confidence” - @mammafolk
